The objective was to start the course and bring students at the platform from where students can make sense of further discussions of the subject. The introduction is in two parts. The evolution of marketing till its present form is discussed. This include, how marketing has changed over the period of time.

This is the video of discussion with students on the topic of market segmentation. The concept of segmentation alongwith various levels and their examples are discussed at length.

Positioning

This is the video of discussion with students on the topic of positioning. The concept of positioning is a treat to understand and discuss. The discussion range from understanding positioning conceptually to how should one try to position. The brands and its connection with positioning is also discussed. Discussion picks up from the idea of Al Ries and Jack Trout. It continues with the strategies of positioning, Ideas of positioning, errors of positioning and culminates with an example. It continues with the steps which are recommended to follow while developing a new product. The importance of idea generation, screening is emphasized. Considerable attention is given to the discussion on Conjoint Analysis.

These are videos of discussion with students on Product. It discusses the basic concept of product along with the various levels in which the overall offering can be segregated. It continues with the discussion on augmentation and its various forms. It also talks about product mix. Various analysis at the level of product which a marketer may potentially do are also discussed.
